In line with our commitment to sustainability, evolution and innovation at Cetil, we have embarked on a new project in 2025 – a two-person dinghy sailing sponsorship.
To this purpose, Martín Bermúdez de la Puente and Beatriz Díaz Norris have recently teamed up to sail the boat ‘CETIL’ and take part in Snipe regattas around Spain and Europe. The Snipe fleet currently has 360 boats on a national level and more than 3,000 worldwide. It was created in 1932 has been growing exponentially since, with fleets in more than 35 countries across 4 continents.
Beatriz started sailing in the Snipe Class in 2019, having since taken part in a sub-21 World Championship, three Spanish cups and one European championship, with a promising future ahead of her. Martín has competed in sailing competitions since childhood but began sailing Snipe regattas in 1996 and has managed to win, among others, seven autonomic cups, three national circuits, one Spanish cup, a Spanish Masters, four Iberian cups and one South European championship.
The 2025 season started on the first of February in the Valencia Yacht Club with a silver medal for the mixed crew and an eighth position out of 57 boats in the 10th edition of the Oseberg Challenge, raced in Motril, which is the first regatta of the Spanish national circuit.
During the year, the crew will participate in the five remaining events that make up the 2025 national circuit in Galicia, Madrid, Santander, Gijón and Murcia. They will travel in April to Melilla to sail the Spanish championship and to Torrevieja, where the Spanish Cup will be held. On an international level, they will take part in the German Open Regatta in Trieste and in the Marlin Spike Cup in Belgium, with eyes set on being in the best possible conditions for the European championship held next September in Portugal.
