E30 CNG dispenser in Germany

We are pleased to inform you that we have obtained a new certification for our compressed natural gas dispenser. In August we received the German national certification issued by the PTB for our E30 CNG dispenser.

Unlike dispensers for conventional fuels, compressed gas dispensers (e.g., natural gas and hydrogen) are not covered by the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) or any equivalent European certification. In order to market these dispensers in each European country, it is necessary to have their own national certification. The E30 CNG dispenser already has the French national approval and Cetil, as a manufacturer, also has its quality system approved to put in service this type of dispenser there.

The number of CNG filling stations in France and Germany shows their interest in this type of fuel: about 200 in France and almost 800 in Germany, according to NGVA (NGVA Europe | NGVA Europe) data.

On the other hand, the high production of biomethane in these countries is also noteworthy, not only for mobility but also for power generation and heating. In any case, this fact affirms a growing commitment to mobility based on methane from renewable sources.

One of the strengths of the E30 CNG is its connectivity; it has a proprietary MODBUS protocol for plant control and IFSFS-LON for connection to identification, authorisation and payment systems.
